ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ:9 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ, ਈਸਵੀ ਸੰਨ 2012/24 ਅੱਸੂ, ਨਾਨਕਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਸੰਮਤ 544/
ਅੱਸੂ ਵਦੀ ਨੌਵੀਂ, ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮੀ ਸੰਮਤ 2069.
ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ:

=ਚੌਥੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ (1534 ਈ.),
=ਧਿਆਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਡੋਗਰੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਚੇਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਕਤਲ (1839 ਈ.) ਅਤੇ
=ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਦ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਦੇ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਣਾ (1960 ਈ.)
